AVIPATTIKARA CHURANA; Avipattikara Churna is one of the most effective Ayurvedic formulations to manage health problems due to an imbalance of Pitta dosha like acidity, indigestion and heartburn. These are either due to lack of physical activities, sedentary lifestyle or due to unhealthy eating habits. Avipattikara Churna helps reduce excessive heat generated due to an imbalance of Pitta dosha and provides a cooling effect inside the body. ROLE OF INGREDIENTS; Sonth (dried ginger) Zingiber Officinale - is one of the most widely used natural products consumed as a spice and medicine for treating nausea, dysentery, heartburn, flatulence, diarrhea, loss of appetite, infections, cough, and bronchitis. Black Pepper (Piper Nigrum) - 'Piperine''exhibits diverse pharmacological activities like antihypertensive, antiplatelet, antioxidant, antitumor, anti-asthmatics, analgesic, anti-inflammatory, anti-diarrheal, antispasmodic, antidepressants, immunomodulatory, anticonvulsant, anti-thyroids, antibacterial. Long Pepper (Piper Longum) -is most commonly used to treat chronic bronchitis, asthma, constipation, gonorrhea, paralysis of the tongue, diarrhea, cholera, chronic malaria, viral hepatitis, respiratory infections, stomachache, bronchitis, diseases of the spleen, cough, and tumors. Dalchini (Cinnamon) – Cinnamomum Zeylanicum -k is used for gastrointestinal (GI) upset, diarrhea, and gas. It is also used for stimulating appetite; for infections caused by bacteria and parasitic worms; and for menstrual cramps, the common cold, and the flu (influenza). Elaichi (Green Cardamom) – Elettaria Cardamomum -is used to cure indigestion, nausea, vomiting and used to expel out phlegm out of body. It is very beneficial in congestion of lungs and other pulmonary diseases. It is also used as laxative and used to prevent stomach pain, flatulence and gripping. Tejpata (Indian Bay Leaf) – Cinnamomum Tamala -is used as tooth powder to treat dental caries, bad odor and gingivitis. Powder of the bark of Tejpatra is mixed with honey in a dose of 3- 5 g to treat cough and asthma. The paste of the bark of the plant is applied as paste over the area affected with swelling and pain. Mustak (Nut Grass) – Cyperus Rotundus -  is a medicinal herb traditionally used to treat various clinical conditions at home such as diarrhea, diabetes, pyresis, inflammation, malaria, and stomach and bowel disorders. Vaividang (False Black Pepper) – Embelia Ribes - known in commerce as Baibidang are recommended for relieving headache, rhinitis, haemorrhage, epilepsy and insomnia. The decoction of dried fruits is used for fever and for chest and skin disease. Paste is applied for skin infection. Amla (Amalaki or Indian Gooseberry) – Emblica Officinalis - is one of the most important plants in the traditional Ayurvedic medical system as well as in other traditional health systems for immunomodulatory, anti-inflammatory, antiulcer, hepatoprotective, and anticancer actions. Nishoth (Turpeth) – Operculina Turpethum - used in the Ayurvedic system of medicine for the treatment of skin disorders such as vitiligo and several diseases such as cervical lymphadenitis, fistulas, constipation, chronic gout, fever, bronchitis, ulcers, hemorrhoids, tumors, obesity, jaundice, herpes. It is mixed with little quantity of honey, made into a tablet or soft small ball and then it is administered to the patient. Take 1 – 5  grams. Suggested to be taken at the starting of meals and in between meals.
